Our Design Process
One of the first questions that I get after I have shown clients the great things we can accomplish for them is "how are you going to to do that? Well, the answer is not always that simple but there are clear steps in how we go about accomplishing your new website design. We have come up with a 10 step process as a guide to providing you the best service possible.
1. Project Consultation
The first thing we will do is decide on a central concept of design for your new website or project. We take this time to gather as much information as we can about how you envision your look and feel of the projects design. We look at the functionality of the design and the different components that may be needed. One of the ways we do this is by looking at existing sites out there on the web that you find interesting and ideas you would most like to incorporate into your design. Based on the information we obtain from this gathering stage, we will settle on a price.
2. Materials
We next supply a link that will lead to a secure location allowing you to upload all of the project materials to include text, photos, logos and any design specifications on desired layouts. This is an important stage that can hinder the overall process if all materials are not received in a timely manner.
3. Initial Payment
A deposit of 50% of the agreed upon price for the project is due before the actual design process will begin. We accept Paypal, most major credit cards, money order or business checks.
4. Demo Page
The next step is to take all the material and ideas that we previously worked out and present them to you in the form of a demo page. This will be a rough draft of your site meant to provide you with the look and feel of your site.
5. Revision #1
Once you have received your demo page, we expect that there will be some changes to be made. We accept any and all changes. We only request that the changes stay within the scope of the project.
6. Revision #2
After we have made your initial changes, we will present you with a new demo page complete with the changes requested. This will be considered the fine tuning stage of your demo. Again, send back as many changes as needed staying within the initial project scope.
7. Demo Acceptance and Conversion
We will now take your 2nd revision and put those changes into a final demo that will be used to convert this project from the demo stages to the production and implementation stages. All revisions should be complete at this time. Once accepted, we move on.
8. Coding
While some coding is completed in the demo process, this will be the stage where most of the coding is done. We will put together the HTML, styles, and develop the flash or media portions of the site.
9. Final Revision
Once we have completed the coding phase, we will present the project for final revision. We expect that this will be completed in two phases in the same manner that the demo page was approved.
10. Final Approval
Once we have completed your project with all revisions requested, we will present you with a Work Completed letter. This letter indicates that you agree that all work has been completed to your satisfaction. Once you have signed and returned the letter and provided the final 50% payment, we will launch your new project on the web and provide you with all of the project files. It is also at this stage that we will submit your website to the top search engines so that people can find your new site on the web.
The most important part of this whole process is your complete satisfaction. We do not consider your project complete until you are satisfied.
